PURPOSE
To recognize 100-Year Homesteaders in Lac Ste. Anne County 

POLICY
A Homestead Award Gate Sign and Scroll will be presented in
recognition of families celebrating the ownership of the Family Farm for
100 years or more. 

GUIDELINES

1. Upon request and verification, Homestead Award sign will be presented to families celebrating the 100-Year family homestead.
2. The title of the land must be in the name of a direct descendent of the original homesteader and must be verified through the Alberta Land Titles office. 
3. The land must have been continuously owned and operated by a direct descendent.
4. The name on the gate sign and certificate will be in the name of the original homesteader.  
5. The presentation of the Homestead Award Gate Sign and Scroll will be made to the family at an appropriate County event.

title documents.  If the earliest documents are not available through
Lorraine, you can contact Jonathan Davidson at Provincial Archives of
Alberta at (780) 427-1750.
